The date is August 8th, 1988. Summer in Mexico at Boca De Pasquales. A time for the Pacific hurricanes to smash palm fron huts habitated by Mexican citizens. 12 of the Main Surf Dawgs plan on being there. Patiently awaiting the huge surf to pound the Pacific coast. The author “Doc”chooses to bring his wine slurping wife (Gallo) for shits and giggles along the way and quickly learns it was not only a mistake, but a disaster. However, It didn't stop us from surfing the most inhuman combers ever to grace the west coast as we traveled up the coast and back again. Not even dead Mexicans, alcoholic wives, chili peppers, Scrams jokes, ball grabbing plane flights, Mexican bus departures, or battery acid could stop us from making this once in a lifetime extravaganza one to remember for an eternity. Even the Texicans and the Cali crew were on their best behavior, but those damn Brazilians cut no slack at all. Kojak ( his last surf quest to Mexico) to him, I dedicate this journal.
